Job Summary

Baseball Club is seeking an enthusiastic individual for an Equipment Manager Internship for the summer of 2019. Proud member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players.

RESPONSIBILITIES: (Reports directly to General Manager. This position starts early/mid May and ends mid/late August) 
Consistently manages all player equipment inventories. (Helmets, baseball bats, game & batting practice baseballs, laundry supplies, etc.) 
Washes team uniforms after each home game. (Washes road team uniforms for some games) 
Manages the home and away clubhouse to make sure it’s clean after each game 
 Provides assistance during the game for equipment needs to players, coaches, umpires and assist with on field promotions. 
Work closely with Athletic Trainer providing water coolers and ice as needed. 
 Helps with community player/mascot appearances such as parades, player appearances, camps where needed. 
Help with promotional events (i.e. in-game promotions, distribution of pocket schedules etc) 
Additional duties assigned by supervisor 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Need to meet deadlines 
Understands quality care and washing uniforms to keep them at their max performance and looking good. 
Needs to be self-motivated, detail oriented, very organized 
Ability to work some long hours, nights, weekends, and potential holidays 
Succeed in a team environment 
Multi-task and effectively problem solve under time deadlines 
Some heavy lifting may apply 
Be energetic with a positive attitude under pressure 
Understands the game of baseball
