I.  Job Summary:

This is a 4-month part-time, seasonal, stipended position.  The Wide Receiver Football Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in recruiting, training, and coaching members of the football team.  Duties also include huddle breakdown, manage own position group, conduct meetings.  The Wide Receiver Football Coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by the NCAA at the Division III level.

II. Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the direction, supervision, and instructions of the Wide Receiver position on the fundamentals, details, and strategies;
  • Maintains knowledge and rules of NCAA in all aspects as it relates to this position;
  • Recruits student-athletes and completes necessary compliance paperwork regarding recruiting;
  • Knowledge of area as it relates to recruiting;
  • Assists in academic counseling sessions with players;
  • Maintain knowledge of offensive line coaching strategies;
  • Provides academic/personal counseling of position players;
  • Compiles and reviews accountability sheets, and visits with players on a weekly/monthly basis as needed;
  • Compiles and reviews academic check sheets and visits with players as needed;
  • Assists with offensive game plan with all adjustments;
  • Assists in the development of game day call sheet;
  • Assists with practice planning;
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:            

  • Bachelor's degree;
  • 1 year prior college playing or coaching experience, specifically Wide Receiver;
  • Strong commitment to the student-athlete concept;
  • A working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations;
  • Ability to work in noise, heat, cold, odors, dirt, outdoor temperatures, snow, and difficult situations;
  • Ability to work weekends, occasional holidays, and in inclement weather;
  • Ability to repetitively push and pull equipment (for example, football sleds, dummies, and pads) a minimum of 10 yards without assistance.
