Job Summary

Summary

The Associate Director of Athletics shall assist the Athletic Director in coordinating the athletic program of the School, with safety precautions and the overall decorum of teams.  He / She shall coordinate the athletic program in a manner in keeping with the school philosophies, goals and objectives as well as initiate and interpret athletic policies for the school.  In addition the Associate Director of Athletics shall provide creative leadership for all athletic programs. 

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule athletic facilities.
• Arrange sport officials.
• Supervise eligibility requirements and maintain student eligibility records.
• Make arrangements for team transportation.
• Publicize all athletic events and results
• Responsible for overall supervision of home games.
• Conduct a public relations program with businesses within the school’s community to obtain support for the school’s overall athletic program.
• Approve the purchase of all athletic equipment and establish inventory control procedures for all sports
• Make arrangements for all interscholastic events such as ticket sales, game workers, lodging and meals when required.
• Seek and find ways for supporting and financing the athletic program.
• Make recommendations to the Athletic Director for improvements in the overall athletic program.

Education/Experience

• Should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Should have coaching experience.
• Working knowledge of computer system functions including Microsoft word, Access, Excel
• Must possess excellent organizational skills
• Must possess excellent communication skills
