Assistant Director of Marketing & Promotions

Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field and three (3) years of professional level experience in marketing, promotional or related work.
• Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends on a regular basis.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in marketing, public relations, communications, sports management or other related field.
• Demonstrated successful marketing and promotion experience in athletics.
• Demonstrated experience in the development and management of budgets.
• Demonstrated work experience in sponsorship sales and contract fulfillments.
• Demonstrated successful experience in management and supervision of internship or student programs.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete projects independently and with specific deadlines.
• Demonstrated experience working in positions that require strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience running video boards.
• Possess strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong computer background with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe software.
• Ability to work with students, coaches, and administrators in a broad range of situations.
