Sports Information Director

Job Summary

Primary Job Duties:

• Manage office, staff and budget, and assist with athletic event management.
• Create, write, edit, and publish all athletic publications and website. Write, edit, and submit all press releases for athletics and athletic events.
• Record and distribute statistical information to the appropriate organizations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience within sports information field (graduate assistant positions and internships are acceptable) or a related field.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, or other design/video production software required.
• Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills.
• Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of statistical programs
