Job Summary

Summary of Job Duties

The Athletic Trainer is responsible for day-to-day leadership and management of the Sports Injury Clinic, patient care and management, athletic training staff members, and departmental risk management program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited institution of higher education
• At least two years of professional athletic training experience
• Ability to obtain a license through the state of Arkansas Department of Health

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in health or higher education field from an accredited institution of higher education
• Current license through the state of Arkansas Department of Health
• Demonstrated experience creating and implementing risk management procedures and policies
• Experience working in collegiate recreation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Knowledge of theory and practice of athletic training
• Knowledge developing and implementing treatment and rehab program for injured patients
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to make independent decisions related to the care and treatment of injured patients
