Job Summary

Job Description
  • Key member of the Finance Department and will be responsible for the accounting operations of the Club.
  • Have responsibility for weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
  • Assist with cash flow planning, operational budgeting and monitoring, and strategic business planning.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists with all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts/budgets, annual and monthly financial statements.
  • Review various balance sheet reconciliations and associated journal entries.
  • Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountability, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals.
  • Hire, develop, evaluate, mentor and manage team.
  • Ensure appropriate organization structure(s), level of staffing and build bench strength. 
  • Responsible for coordinating, running and maintaining 15+ department budgets.
  • Manage and operate within a multi-entity business structure.
  • Perform monthly closing journal entries.
  • Perform 40+ monthly bank account reconciliations.
  • Review the monthly General Ledger activity.
  • Oversees the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for assisting with League financial reporting.
  • Review invoices, bills, vouchers, and other documents for accuracy.
  • Produce monthly reports and assist in month end closings as needed.
  • Assist with other accounting functions as needed, including administration work.
  • Complete special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Minimum of (2) two years of supervisor experience within the accounting field.
  • CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Seed (Accounting Solution on Salesforce Platform) is required..
  • Ability to create and operate PivotTables and manage large data sets is required.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Salesforce, Concur, Vena and banking systems is a plus.
  • Passion for the sport of soccer is a plus.
  • Solid communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a take-charge, forward thinking person, able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills required.
