Graduate Assistant- Cheer and Stunt Coach

Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Cheer Coach in practice, games, workouts, study sessions, competitions and/or any other aspects of the spirit program.
• Assist the Head Cheer Coach in preparing for team events, practices, and games.
• Coordinate recruiting activities including, but not limited to: emails, phone calls and letters.
• Monitor the academic progress of team members.
• Administer mandatory team bonding activities.
• Assist with game day management responsibilities as assigned by the Head Cheer Coach or the Athletic Director

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University Masters’ program.
• Cheer and Stunt experience.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Prior coaching experience, is preferred.
• Stunting/Tumbling technique knowledge, is preferred.

Tuition remission will be applied for master’s degree credits while in good standing in the position of graduate assistant.
