Job Summary
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Cheer Coach in practice, games, workouts, study sessions, competitions and/or any other aspects of the spirit program.
- Assist the Head Cheer Coach in preparing for team events, practices, and games.
- Coordinate recruiting activities including, but not limited to: emails, phone calls and letters.
- Monitor the academic progress of team members.
- Administer mandatory team bonding activities.
- Assist with game day management responsibilities as assigned by the Head Cheer Coach or the Athletic Director
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University Masters’ program.
- Cheer and Stunt experience.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Prior coaching experience, is preferred.
- Stunting/Tumbling technique knowledge, is preferred.
Tuition remission will be applied for master’s degree credits while in good standing in the position of graduate assistant.
