Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
Analytics (50%)
Analytics (50%)
- 1. Collect data from a wide variety of sources and report regularly on the performance of Team USA Athletes relative to our top competitors.
- 2. Create written reports and data visualizations that clearly communicate research findings.
- 3. Assist and with new data management systems and provide archiving support.
- 4. Perform data entry and integrity checking of competition information into the data
- management system. Update/document the data management process accordingly.
- 5. Serve as intermediary between internal data analysts and Paralympic Track & Field.
Operations (35%)
- 1. Manage event logistics for Paralympic Track & Field events as requested.
- 2. Assist in creating and implementing the High Performance Plan.
- 3. Communications of results to World Para Athletics.
Administrative (15%)
- 1. Manage department budget and projections as requested.
- 2. Submit expense reports.
- 3. Other duties as assigned by Director of U.S. Paralympics Track & Field.
Minimum Qualifications Required
Education:
- Successful completion of coursework in economics, statistics, or business analytics is beneficial.
Experience:
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook.
- Must be able to manipulate and combine data from a variety of sources using tools such as Excel.
- Familiarity with Excel Pivot Tables strongly preferred.
- Experience in Tableau strongly preferred.
- Experience and interest in track & field strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Prompt and detail oriented.
- Good critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Strong quantitative skills and flexibility in approaching problems from different perspectives.
- Understanding and ability to use a variety of data formatting, data processing,and data structuring techniques.
- Proficiency in or ability to become proficient in R, Tableau and related software.
- Proficiency in MS Office products. Particular emphasis with advanced Excel features (e.g., V/HLOOKUP, MATCH, pivot tables, macros).
