Job Summary

Role Summary

  • Support with preparation of marketing partnership deal financial schedules, detailing all revenue and expense projections as well as summary analysis for senior management.
  • Support the Team with the managing of the Marketing Partnership revenue recognition process, including contract/deal memo tracking, comparison to rate card, monthly revenue posting to general ledger and actual versus budget/forecast comparison.
  • Support with tracking and reconciliation of fulfillment costs. Support in the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks for Marketing Partnerships (revenue & expense) including creation and maintenance of upload files.
  • Support in the development of Marketing Partnership internal management reports, including digital revenues, direct signage and sponsorship analysis for the Sports business & Signage.
  • Pull together details used in liaison with internal and external auditors.
  • Support with the completion of all NBA, NHL and G-League reporting packages and surveys as it relates to sponsorship.

Specific Functions/Activities Summary

  • Support team in managing revenue recognition/contract tracking/fulfillment costs of all marketing partnership agreements (new revenue standard created a lot more analysis)
  • 30%• Support the team with preparation of annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks for Marketing Partnerships (revenues and expenses)
  • 30%• Support the team in the overall month end close process for Marketing Partnerships which includes creation of journal entries and preparation of balance sheet and expense account analysis
  • 10%• Support the team with the preparation of all NBA, NHL, G-League and NBA 2K league reporting packages & surveys as it relates to Sponsorships
  • 20%• Special projects as assigned


Qualifications

  • BS in Business/Accounting or related field, MBA a plus.
  • Financial accounting background required
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting, preferably in financial analysis and budgeting in the Entertainment or Sports industry.
  • Strong skills in systems currently utilized by MSG, i.e. Oracle, TM1, & Anaplan.
  • Ability to write and maintain TM1 reports.

Education

  • Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
  • Educational requirements may differ from job to job based on the role.
