Athletics Communications Intern (Part-time)

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Produce extensive copywriting, layout and design, editing and record keeping.
• Perform all game day obligations of assigned sports, which includes being the primary contact for volleyball and at least two Olympic sports and assist on game day with other duties related to football and basketball. Maintain GoZips.com, the department's official website and the University's various athletics related social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
• Interact within the department's external relations operation, which includes marketing and promotions, Zips Digital Network, ticketing and development.

Qualifications

• Relevant Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one-year experience in athletics media relations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills that include knowledge of Photoshop and In-Design required.
