Job Summary

 

Job Description

  • Reports to the Director of Athletics.
  • Responsible for oversight, supervision and coordination of all activities related to athletic compliance with the NCAA, Conference and College bylaws, rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve on the department’s Leadership and Management team to assist in the communication and execution of the strategic goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the management of initiatives that promote institutional and department culture of integrity and compliance.
  • Oversee student-athlete development initiatives that ensure the holistic development of our student-athletes.
  • As a sport administrator, provide leadership, guidance and oversight for each assigned program.
  • Serve as the point of contact on all issues related to assigned sport programs.
  • Uttilize leadership and communications skills to resolve concerns for coaches, student-athletes and support staff.
  • Provide supervision and oversight to the Assistant Director of Compliance and the Coordinator for Student-Athlete Academic Support.
  • Build strong relationships with student-athletes, teams, coaches, campus partners and community members.
  • Provide insight and organize staff in the implementation of student-athlete development programming.
  • Serve as liaison to Admissions and Financial Aid.
  • Coordinate development of student-athlete policies and updates to the Student-Athlete Handbook while managing student-athlete discipline. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a Division I athletics compliance office.
  • Experience or demonstrated ability to manage staff and coaches.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to customer service.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to connect with a diverse community of students, faculty and staff.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including the use of NCAA Compliance Assistant, compliance management databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
