Job Description

• Provides leadership, organization and supervision for all aspects of men’s baseball to support a competitive and successful program.
• Support internal athletic department functions by administering other assigned duties by the Athletic Director. 

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, organization and supervision for all aspects of the men’s baseball program
• Follow all NCAA Division III, Conference, and College rules and regulation.
• Meet or exceed the expectations outlined in the athletic department’s policies and procedures manual.
• Actively recruit student-athletes that will succeed academically and maintain and/or enhance the level of competition for the baseball program.
• Manage the men’s baseball budget, following purchasing and spending guidelines as set by the college and the athletic department.
• Hire, train and supervise part-time assistant coaches for the men’s baseball program.
• Schedule contests with consultation and approval from the athletic director, and coordinate all travel arrangements for the team.
• Oversight of the junior varsity baseball program.
• Conduct a fall training session, in compliance with NCAA and Conference regulations.
• Cultivate a positive team image, promote and support the overall student-athlete experience and aid in the academic, athletic and social development of student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Three years of successful head coaching at the College or high school level.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, coaching and/or playing experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification required (may be obtained on the job).
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
• Previous coaching and recruiting experience at the NCAA Division III level, is preferred.
