Job Summary

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, creates, and executes all promotional elements of athletic events, including in-game promotions, presentations, writing of all public address scripts, coordinating music and in-game entertainment. Planning and execution of team entrances as well as the timing of band, dance, mascot, and cheer.
  • Develops and implements marketing plans, including the creation, production, and oversight of all marketing, advertising, and promotional material.
  • Responsible for the creation of all game programs and fulfillment of sponsorship ad placement, including graphic design and working with print company for run timing and delivery.
  • Collaborates with Sports Properties and Game Day Operations and pre-game tailgating activities before all IS football games.
  • Runs Arena video board for all football games and men’s basketball games.
  • Determines appropriate budget expenditures and allocations relative to the implementation of marketing plans as well as the fulfillment of scholarship contracts.
  • Collaborates with campus organizations and student population to promote events and involvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or other related field.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in one or more of the following areas: marketing, game operations or advertising.
  • Strong familiarity with Adobe programs including Photoshop and InDesign Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA compliance rules and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Experience working within a college athletic department at the Division I level.
  • Demonstrated ability working with head coaches and their staff
  • Demonstrated understanding of working scoreboards and video boards.
