Job Summary

Job Description

  • Coordinate all video services for the football program as well as advisory support and purchasing input for all intercollegiate athletic and support programs.
  • Supervise videotape of all practices and games.
  • Edit and digitize footage for all games and practices.
  • Manage sports video budget for football.
  • Coordinate and produce football highlight film, recruiting presentations, media requests and alumni and athletic presentations.
  • Organize and coordinate home and away meeting room setup and video needs.
  • Assign personnel camera locations, angles and make instant decisions on in-game adjustments.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Minimum Experience

  • Two years of experience with football program in the area of video and technology.

Preferred Education

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Experience

  • Five years of experience with football program in the area of video and technology.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Hire, train and supervise undergraduates charged with videotaping football practices and competitions.
  • Manage operation of the DVSport football editing system which includes all coaches' stations and server.
  • Provide coaching staff game edits, opponent edits, opponent cut-ups, and self scout cut-ups.
  • Train football coaches, graduate assistants and players on the video analysis system.
  • Diagnose strengths and weaknesses in technique, using video-analysis tools; prepare action plan based on analysis.
  • Using Adobe Premier, conceive, script, score and produce original highlight, motivational and banquet videos for football, media and alumni events.
  • Provide media production support by producing media materials in a variety of formats.
  • Work in conjunction with the football coaching staff to draw up video equipment budget and provide advisory input for all intercollegiate athletic programs.
  • Create, revise and track video acquisition for the football program.
  • Fulfill requests for video, including dubbing radio play-by-play or other effects.
  • Direct video exchange program in compliance with the Conference regulations.
  • Serve as primary contact with video analysis system vendor (DVSport) and coordinate all service calls.
  • Oversee new computer purchases for the football program and other technology associated with the program including Ipads.
