Job Summary
About The Position
The Digital Marketing Specialist is a key role within the Speedway Marketing Department. The position will be responsible for leading several important digital marketing initiatives including email marketing, mobile app messaging and on-site fan engagement programs. In addition, this role will be heavily involved in the day-to-day content development across all digital marketing channels.
During events the Digital Marketing Specialist will lead on-site fan engagement platforms including planning and execution around logistics, credentials, schedules and more for the Rewards program and new on-site programs.
This role requires the understanding of digital marketing fundamentals, as well as the technical skills to craft engaging creative used across our email, social media, website and mobile channels.
This position will work closely with the Director and Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing as well as the Director of Consumer Marketing to ensure external messaging is consistent and on point with the brand. The Digital Marketing Specialist will have a hand in engaging with millions of fans, customers and stake-holders of one of the nation’s most recognized sporting venues and thus this person must be an excellent communicator and leader who easily contributes with internal and external teams and partners.
Daily Responsibilities
- Lead Speedway’s email marketing strategy and execution including developing, building, testing, and optimizing highly-segmented email campaigns.
- Lead Speedway’s mobile messaging strategy and execution, including SMS text messaging and push messaging through the Mobile App.
- Lead Speedway’s on-site fan engagement strategy and execution through digital platforms, including conception of new programs and evolution of established Rewards program.
- Develop reporting documents and dashboards for digital marketing efforts and measure performance and results of campaigns to provide analysis to digital marketing team and other departments.
- Develop creative, strategic marketing campaigns to drive data collection, ticket sales, engage fans and build the brand.
- Coordinate with the sponsorship team to develop digital marketing initiatives to drive revenue opportunities through digital marketing channels.
- Work closely with Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing to coordinate comprehensive content calendar.
- Work closely with Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing to initiate and develop content for all digital marketing channels, including email, website, social media and mobile app.
- Initiate and develop content for all marketing communications materials, including marketing brochures, sales collateral, presentations, email campaigns and web site content.
- Support and strengthen the brand across all public facing digital marketing channels in close partnership with the public relations team and consumer marketing team through consistent messaging and strategic positioning.
