Job Summary

Role Summary

  • The Manager, Fan Engagement is responsible for leading efforts focused on fan experiences, special team events, theme nights and collectibles for the NHL Team.
  • This position’s activities include developing and executing high-profile fan events, experiences, and client touch points with the teams for our customers, partners, season ticket members, youth hockey and community partners, as well as other key audiences with the overall objective of maximizing team assets to grow the business and create hockey fans for life.

Specific Functions/Activities Summary

  • Oversee the development and expansion of our Rangers fan experience portfolio to support various business units across the company with a primary focus on Tickets, Clubs & Premium Hospitality and Marketing Partnerships.

  • Partner with Event Presentation and Building Operations to coordinate the execution of all in-game fan experiences for each Rangers home game including, but not limited to penalty box visits, post-game on-ice photos, Zamboni rides, and stick kids.

  • Lead and support the creation and execution of all Theme Nights including concourse activations, food & beverage offers, special merchandise, pre and post-game activities, marketing partner integration, giveaways and other theme night elements.

  • Manage the inventory, allocation and tracking of game used items and signed merchandise by working closely with Team Operations, Retail Ops & Merchandise and our external collectibles partners. Schedule and manage the execution of team signing days and other signing needs.

  • Support the execution of special team events by serving as a project manager and managing budgets, creating detailed project plans, as well as assisting with overall communication to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications


  • 3+years of experience in sports, entertainment or events industry preferably in a team environment

  • Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills including the ability to speak before groups

  • Ability to influence and build work relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels necessary

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule; including night and weekend work as it relates to game and event schedule

Education

  • Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
  • Educational requirements may differ from job to job based on the role.
