Job Description

• Focused on managing the volunteer, social media and birdies for charity programs.
• Ability to recruit and manage a large group of people that will assist with a PGA TOUR event

• Volunteer Administration: recruitment, application process, data entry, communication with 2,000+ volunteers, volunteer package purchasing and preparation, volunteer website maintenance, volunteer headquarters management, training plans and execution, volunteer recognition/appreciation, post-event surveys.
• Community Involvement: recruit volunteers through local charities and community organizations, prospect activities and events for staff to participate and promote the tournament.
• Recruit volunteer / charity groups for group projects throughout the year and tournament weeSocial Media: plan and execute comprehensive year-round social media plan across all channels.
• Coordinates any involvement of tournament charities in tournament operations .
• Plans and operates a 50+ charity, year-round “birdies for charity” program which includes charity recruitment, communications and pledge tracking/processing.
• Assist with general office administrative work including answering phones, general errands, inventory.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three to five years’ experience in an event management or marketing/social media role at an agency, brand, media company, sports or entertainment property, or related organization.
• PGA TOUR experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple programs/projects concurrently, inclusive of a highly detail oriented and organized approach.
• Must take initiative in project management and problem solving.  Application of superior prioritization and time-management skills.
• Proven effectiveness in managing a complex organizational system and vast assortment of constituencies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capacity to address multiple tasks simultaneously and remain composed under pressure.
• Ability to produce high quality work at a very fast pace.
• Organization, attention to detail, and time management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, clients, vendors and general public.
• Highest degree of ethics and professional conduct.
• Confident, pro-active, creative, and collaborative style that assimilates well within a team.
• Proactive self-starter and team player with a strong work ethic.
• Exemplary written and oral communication skills; computer skills including all Microsoft products and assigned databases.
• Ability to travel with no restrictions.
• Ability and willingness to work off-hours and hours necessary to get the job done, especially the 3-4 months prior to tournament week.
• Some medium lifting and labor is required.
• Eligible to work in the United States. 
• Required to successfully complete a drug screen as well as criminal background check.
