Facility Coordinator/Building Engineer

Job Summary

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with facility sub-contracted service providers and employees. 


• Ability to apply mechanical problem-solving techniques to identified problems or assigned projects/objectives. 


• Ability to maintain a priority focus and schedules of assignments and communicate those priorities and schedules. 


• Basic understanding of techniques for minor repairs to, and maintenance of, systems, equipment and buildings. 


• Work schedule flexibility. 


• Ability to read and understand Blueprints and Specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Janitorial Services  


• Carpet cleaning 


•  Floor mat and mop service 


• Roofing - annual maintenance  


• Fire extinguishers 


• Snow plowing 


• Landscaping


• Heating and Cooling 


• Plumbing


• Electrical


• Parking lot resurfacing or major repair


• Pest and rodent Control 


• Sprinkler Systems


• Special Facilities Projects 


• Grounds and Landscaping 

• Ability to balance, crawl, bend, stoop, walk, kneel, stand, sit, stretch, and climb 


• Ability to reach overhead and in front, lift and carry varying weights 


• Ability to push or pull up to 300 pounds


• Must have a current valid driver’s license and a good driving record
