Job Summary
General Description
- Assists the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach in directing all activities of the program within NCAA, Conference and University policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining high academic standards to support the academic development and graduation of student-athletes while focused on student-athlete welfare.
- Assist in successfully directing the women’s volleyball program to compete for championships.
- Assist in the recruitment of student-athletes and maintaining a culture of personal accountability in student-athlete academic performance and conduct.
- Assist in the planning and direction of all practices, travel, and game activities.
- Assist in preparing and managing the administrative functions of the women’s volleyball program.
- Assist in community engagement and donor relations by promoting the women’s volleyball program within the priorities of the Department of Athletics.
Essential Functions
- Successfully recruit, retain, develop, and graduate high-performing women’s volleyball student-athletes.
- Assist with the preparation, organization, design, and implementation of effective practice plans, off-season programs, scouting reports and recruiting systems.
- Effective and timely preparation and management of administrative functions related to the women’s volleyball program.
- Effective community engagement, donor, and public relations.
- Consistent compliance with policies, rules, and regulations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge in the operations and administration of a collegiate women’s volleyball program.
- Two years of collegiate and/or three years of collegiate, professional and/or high school coaching experience required.
- Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, teaching, public relations, interpersonal, customer service and supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in successfully recruiting, retaining, and graduating high-performing women’s volleyball student-athletes.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Qualification Standards
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Masters Degree preferred.
- Expertise in technical and teaching aspects of coaching collegiate women’s volleyball.
- Two years of collegiate and/or three years of collegiate, professional and/or high school coaching and recruiting experience required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in successfully recruiting, retaining, and graduating high-performing women’s volleyball student-athletes.

- Demonstrate knowledge of University Fundamentals.
- Effective interpersonal relationships and communication with student-athletes, support staff, community, alumni, and administration.
- Sound fiscal management and stewardship of program resources.
- Consistent compliance with policies, rules, and regulations.
- Preparation, organization, design, and implementation of effective practice plans, off-season programs, scouting reports and recruiting systems.
