Assistant Academic Coordinator

Job Summary

Description

• Assist the Senior Academic Coordinator and the Department of Athletics in support of student-athlete success and operational duties within the department. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly meetings with at-risk student athletes; help them develop study strategies, access campus resources, and problem-solve.
• Generate weekly reports on the progress of at-risk student athletes
• Give weekly tours to prospective students.
• Generate & manage eligibility reports and answer basic to advanced level information regarding current and continuing eligibility.
• Manage and maintain up-to-date athletic rosters.
• Generate and manage mid-quarter progress reports from all student-athletes’ professors.
• Assist Operations Manager with study hall.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree required.
2. Knowledge and experience in intercollegiate athletics.
3. Must be self-sufficient and well-organized.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Strong problem-solving capability.
6. Exceptional typing skills.
7. Knowledge of NAIA eligibility rules encouraged, but not initially required.
