Director of Partnership Sales

Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Primary day-to-day responsibility for securing new national and global sponsorship partners in key product categories on behalf of the organization and its athletes.·
  • Lead all aspects of the sponsorship sales cycle, including:
  1. Implementing strategies to build value in the property.
  2. Market analysis of target partners.
  3. Asset identification and preparation of sales materials.
  4. Contacting and engaging target partners.
  5. Negotiating and finalizing new partnership agreements.
  6. Negotiating and finalizing renewals of pre-existing partnerships.
  7. Regular reporting against KPIs for revenues, sales leads etc. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of eight years of sponsorship sales experience in the sports and/or entertainment industry, and a track-record of securing partnerships with multiple blue-chip brands on a national/international level.
  • Exceptional pre-existing contacts and relationships within the sports and/or entertainment sponsorship industry - and with major brands and brand activation agencies in particular.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and outstanding social skills, instincts, judgment and integrity.
  • An ambitious, creative and motivated professional, who values a collaborative working environment and who will be able to establish strong, interpersonal relationships with our organization leaders, our athletes and and our commercial/marketing office staff.
  • Comfortable with a flexible work schedule, including:
  1. Domestic travel for partner pitches/meetings.
  2. Attendance at some of our U.S. events during weekends.
  • Experience using and maintaining accurate records within a sales database as well as metric-based research tools.
