Job Summary

Job Overview
  • Work in partnership with the Executive Director to create and activate a comprehensive resource development strategy to include corporate sponsorship, individual giving, and special events and fundraising initiatives, to enable the Foundation to be more effective in the execution of its mission.
  • Responsible for all facets of several major events, manage corporate sponsors and major gifts, and develop the Foundation’s marketing and communications strategy.
Job Responsibilities
  • Execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that incorporates diverse funding sources to meet and exceed target financial goals annually, tracking fundraising progress and providing regular updates to executive leadership, and providing analysis of program efficacy upon completion.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward diverse and high profile net worth individuals and organizations, as well as establish and maintain strong relationships between the Foundation and corporate supporters.
  • Creatively develop and execute high profile special events for the NFL Team Charitable Foundation including all event logistics, creative collateral, contract negotiations, budget planning and management, site location and on-site coordination, vendor management, ticket sales and sponsorships.
  • Manage corporate sponsorships of Foundation events and programs including aiding in the creation of sponsorship opportunities, identifying prospects, assisting Executive Director in soliciting sponsorships and executing fulfillment of assets.
  • Aid in the development and execution of the Foundation’s communications and marketing strategy, including social media, all email communication including a monthly e-newsletter, web content and limited print advertising, to raise awareness of the Foundation’s community impact year-round, in turn increasing our donor pool and fundraising potential.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, marketing, public relations, editorial and social media departments to develop and implement a comprehensive plan to promote sponsorship opportunities and awareness of appropriate events, initiatives and community programs.
  • Works closely with PR to prepare and review press releases announcing events across the Foundation, and ensure all events appropriately represent the Organizations image in the community.
  • Work closely with Executive Director on content development for the Foundation’s Annual Report, working to develop overall positioning and identify anecdotal and quantitative impact reporting to communicate to key constituents including program partners, sponsors, donors, etc.
  • Coordinate and execute various VIP packages including game day activities, auction experience fulfillment and manage the Foundation suite at NFL Team home games.
  • Oversee one full time employee, Development Coordinator, and two full time interns.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor degree required.
  • 5 years experience in sports and/or event management for a non-profit organization or similar experience.
  • Must have strong development skills with an active network of development contacts and a proven track-record in soliciting and procuring funding from corporations.
  • Past experience and significant comfort level interacting and calling on C-suite executives of target companies a plus.
  • Significant event management experience required, from concept phase to event execution to analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills are a must.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and complete various tasks under strict deadlines in a high pressure, fast pace environment.
  • Ability to react and respond to immediate needs while managing day to day activities.
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, creative and exhibit great attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work weekends during the NFL season and attend weekend and evening events as needed.
