Job Summary

Job Overview

  • Reports to the Head Lacrosse Coach.
  • Assist in the administration of all phases of the lacrosse program in accordance with NCAA Division I, Conference, and University rules and philosophies.
  • Assist the Head Lacrosse Coach in the administration of all aspects of the lacrosse program:
  1. Identifies, evaluates, and recruits prospective student-athletes.
  2. Assists in pre-, in-, and post-season training, practices and games.
  3. Assists in all areas relating to the operation of the lacrosse program, including day-to-day administrative and operational responsibilities.
  4. Assists with the development and maintenance of appropriate public relations, video / scouting.
  5. Assist with video analysis of matches and practices, strength & conditioning.
  6. Assist with the team fitness programs, recruiting coordinator.
  7. Primary contact for scholar-athlete identification, evaluation, visits, travel, correspondence and communication , travel coordinator.
  8. Arrange transportation, food, hotel and travel logistics, scheduling.
  9. Assist with match and practice scheduling, fund-raising and promotional activities as necessary.
  10. Primary contact and implementation of the summer camp program and clinics.
  11. Assists in coordination of practice and game preparation.
  12. Coordinate practice times at opponent’s facilities and coordinates the team travel arrangements within the department guidelines and budget.
  13. Assists in academic evaluation and support.
  14. Motivates and inspires student-athletes to excel in the classroom and on the field.
  15. Assists in team community service implementation.
  16. Attends functions related to the lacrosse program; prepares reports; evaluates players.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Required Skills

  • Computer skills a must.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, fellow employees, program boosters, and the public.
  • US Lacrosse membership required.
  • Ability to work hours outside the normal University schedule.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record is required.
