Assistant Baseball Pitching Coach

Position Description

• Assist with coaching a highly competitive baseball program which competes in the NCAA Division I Conference .
• Know and abide by NCAA, University & Conference rules and regulations.
• Assist with individual workout for practice. 
• Assist with conditioning during the off season, setting up individual workouts for pitchers. 
• Produce practice plan for pitchers.
• Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes. 
• Monitor study hall and meet with all pitchers in need, work with Academic Services on study sessions. 
• Prepare scouting reports for pitchers on opponents hitters. 
• Conduct statistical analysis of recruits. 
• Responsible for all aspects of pitching including pitching, long toss, catch playing, picks, fielding. Work with Head Coach on all team defensive drills (Bunt Defense - 1^st and 3^rd - special picks).
• Assist Head Coach with mental game. 
• Take an active role in marketing baseball on campus and within the community through public appearances and promotional efforts. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent baseball experience. 
• Ability to throw batting practice and hit fungos. 
• Ability to recruit Division I level student-athletes and a demonstrated commitment to their satisfactory academic progress. 
• Ability to interact successfully with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, and to work harmoniously with students and colleagues.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
