Job Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW 

• Must be athletic with a strong interest in the performance or entertainment industry.
• Prior mascot experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform as the character, with possibility of performing as additional characters.
• Perform at all home games and appearances as assigned.
• Assist in creating skits, videos, and other creative projects as assigned.
• Work to grow the brand and character in keeping with the overall direction and goals.
• Maintain mascot costume, props, mascot vehicle as needed to ensure the highest quality at all times.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIEST

• Ability to perform high impact physical maneuvers such as dunking off a trampoline, performing stunts tumbling, etc. 
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Presents self in professional manner and has the ability to interact with all levels of organization and outside contacts.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong Social skills –listens to others, works well in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills including written and verbal.
• Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
• Planning and organizing, can prioritize work activities.
• Uses time efficiently.
• Detail Oriented.
• Adapts to change in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to handle frequent changes.
• Consistently at work on time, follows instructions, responds to manager’s instructions.
• Available to work extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays
  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work a rigorous NBA G-League schedule including.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES

• Comfortable working with children.
• Basketball and NBA knowledge.
• Prior mascot and/or entertainment experience preferred.
• Additional mascot related skills a plus.
• Candidate local to the Triad area.
