Job Summary

Job Description

  • Manages daily operations and compliance for the College's Athletic Department.
  • Duties include:
  1. Serving as eligibility compliance officer for student athletes.
  2. Managing budgets and purchases, including developing RFQs for equipment, travel, and vendors.
  3. Overseeing and coordinating team travel for 13 sports and one club sport.
  4. Overseeing logistics for inter-collegiate events.
  5. Awarding and processing athletic scholarships.
  6. Hiring officials.
  7. Overseeing all intramural programming available to the campus community.
  8. Supervising processes for managing daily athletic department office operations, including supervision of a full-time administrative assistant.
  9. Monitoring purchases, including working with coaching staffs to determine annual needs.
  10. Serves as one of the College's Deputy Coordinators for Title IX, working with the Title IX coordinator to provide case management, assessment and outreach, including compiling information and statistics and submitting mandatory reports.
  11. This is an exempt, professional staff position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Tthree to five years of relevant experience overseeing collegiate athletic programs, intramural programming, or related operations are required. 
  • Other requirements include experience developing and managing budgets; hiring, training and supervising staff; and Proficiency in a Windows-based computer environment.
  • Must have knowledge of compliance requirements for student athletes and athletic programs and/or familiarity with the responsibilities of serving as a Title IX deputy coordinator.
