Temporary - Football Equipment Services Assistant

Job Summary

Job Overview

• Assist the Manager of Athletic Equipment Services and the Assistant Manager with equipment needs of the Footballt Team.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Travels to all away games. Leaves day before with equipment truck for arrival at game site after loading and organizing all necessary equipment.
• Works during football pre-season camp which includes two practices a day.
  Must be in attendance at every practice, regardless of weather conditions.
• Loading & unloading of golf cart and trailer with equipment and supplies needed daily for practices.
• Daily set-up, organization, and break-down of practice field with equipment from storage shed or stadium depending on Coaches
  needs.
• Transport daily practice uniforms and laundry loops to laundry facility after practice, assist with laundry and dispersal.
• Re-check air pressure in practice balls daily and game balls on game day.
• Assist officials on game-day as necessary with electrical equipment.
• Checks hardware/defects on practice helmets.
• Picks up and drops off shoulder pads and helmets utilizing the OZONE machine.
• Polish football game helmets weekly.
• Weekly check of game helmets for loose hardware, cracks, torn decals, etc., and fix/replace as needed.
• Re-stocking of three game trunks each week before travel.
• Assist and work directly with all football coaches on their equipment needs on a daily basis. 

• Must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with the university MVR policy.
• Must have ability to travel in advance of the team for away games.
• Must be capable of working with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and visitors on a daily basis.
