Job Summary

Role Summary
  • Responsible for the growth of the Entertainment Group brand and for enhancing our reputation by crafting and executing corporate communications strategies and content for our stakeholders, including:
  1. Fans
  2. Customers
  3. Corporate partners
  4. Special interest groups
  5. Employees and media

Core Responsibilities and Duties

  • Works with SVP, Corporate Communications & Government Relations to create, manage and execute proactive communications plans and strategies to enhance OEG’s reputation and improve our overall business performance

  • Rogers Place venue communications 

    • Lead for venue communications, including issues management, public and media relations for the venue.
    • Relationship building and Supervision of Live Entertainment media.
    • Lead liaison with Tour media representatives.
    • Prepares or assists in creation of corporate messaging – internal and external related.

  • Responsible for the delivery of key Corporate Communications functions across the organization including delivery of services to all other departments, preparation of corporate communication strategies and products.
  • Responsible for the development of an updated ICE District communications plan.
  • Responsible for cultivating engaging and positive relationships with local, regional and national media.
  • Prepares or assigns corporate background material and presentations for internal and external audiences.
Education, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications or related, combined with other industry specific training and education.
  • 3-5 years of experience in brand communications or marketing .
  • Experience leading and developing a team.
  • Ability to initiate and identify strategic solutions with a skill in innovative thinking.
  • Superior written communication skills and ability to communicate verbally to a team and to a larger internal and external audience.
  • Excellent relationship building skills dealing with wide array of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under time pressures while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Communicates effectively, builds employee relationships, and provides support to all key stakeholders to ensure achievement of OEG goals and objectives.
  • Strong ability to work with internal groups to create buy-in that leads to group consensus.
  • Self-motivated planner with strong attention to detail.
