Summary: 
  • The Digital Engagement Program Manager, under the direction of the Director, Digital, will focus on engaging and communicating with fans and customers of Sports & Entertainment across digital platforms. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engage fans through social media channels, website and mobile app platforms as well as provide oversight and leadership on how additional owned platforms engage their fanbases.

  • Design detailed digital campaigns that fuel conversation online and promote engagement across digital platforms.

  • Listen to fan/customer sentiment through digital platforms and advanced analytical platforms to aide informed decision making.

  • Lead influencer network and build social media campaigns that grow the audience of players, broadcasters, alumni and other influential personalities of Sports & Entertainment with the dual purpose of amplifying the conversation online. 

  • Build and deliver mobile app content around team performance, personality and fan engagement opportunities, including architecting an integrated mobile app communication and messaging strategy.

  • Construct and copy edit informative content across other website platforms. 

  • 5-10% travel is required when necessary for road games

 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Communications, or a related major and 5+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience managing social media channels within the sports or entertainment industries is preferred.

  • Collaborative team player with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across the company.

  • Strong hockey knowledge and experience working around a sports team is a plus.

  •  Demonstrable working knowledge of the latest social media/online culture, jargon and technical features.

  • Digital publishing/CMS experience and basic HTML knowledge.

  • Proficiency with interactive technologies such as social media and mobile apps

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present ideas and information clearly

  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding organization skills

  • Ability to review large amounts of online information and identify key data points or trends relevant to the SSE brands

  •  Ability to adjust and prioritize within a changing business environment

  • It is imperative that you have the ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.

  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills, as well as ability to manage your own time and implement your own schedule
