Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY 
  • Aims to build strong relationships within the community as well as with all fans through customer service and communication best practices.
  • Develops innovative strategies ensuring awareness and support for the organization.
  • Take on the responsibility of managing and activating several project plans that include:
  1. Fan service communication
  2. Event planning
  3. Community relations and events
  4. Donation requests
  5. School programs
  6. Other marketing efforts related to team games and events

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Personnel Management  

  • Hire, train, schedule and manage promo crew employees while providing leadership, motivation, direction and support during summer community events and throughout the season at game nights and in-season events.
  • Manage and schedule team mascot and execute effective mascot appearances.
  • Oversee and manage Event Staff.

Communication/Customer Service

  • Oversee and fulfill Community Relations donations to local groups and charities.
  • Work with sales departments to create new fundraisers for community partners.
  • Write Community Relations promotions, game program content, website content and other collateral materials.
  • Lead implementation of company strategy to deliver “best-in-class” guest service, providing feedback to advance and enhance the team's approach to service delivery.
  • Understand the customer service strategies and objectives across our game night partners and collaborate on the vision, process and implementation of team specific customer service strategies.
  • Assist Ushers and Security with greeting guests, and using creative problem solving to resolve issues quickly at the door or in-seat.
Event Management
  • Plan and organize all fan facing events including but not limited to community, sales, sponsorship, and games.
  • Manage the development and execution of special events to achieve key short and long term brand goals.
  • Prepare and plan for all game day responsibilities for Promo Crew members.
  • Create, plan, and implement Community Relations programs and fulfillment of corporate sponsor and AHL community programming.
  • Plan and execute Community Events and actively pursue events where the team is represented by the mascot, players, coaches, and/or staff.
  • Manage all in-game community activities and experiences.
Budget Management
  • Responsible for managing and allocating promotions and events budgets.
  • Responsible for maintaining promo crew and mascot hours and budget allocations.
