Assistant Director for Marketing

Job Summary

The Assistant Director will assist the Assistant AD for Marketing to coordinate and execute special events designed to build customer loyalty and generate new sales leads.

The Assistant Director will assist the Assistant AD for Marketing to create an in-game atmosphere, promotions and entertainment for home events.

Essential Duties:

1.) assisting our multimedia rights partner, UNC Greensboro Sports Properties, to develop corporate partnerships as well as fulfillment and execution of sponsorship agreements.

2.) assisting the Director of Ticket Sales with the promotion and sales of group tickets for men’s and women’s basketball. This position also may require performance of other additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required and a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in professional or intercollegiate athletics marketing is required.
• Understanding of NCAA rules is preferred.
• The Assistant Director must be goal and task-oriented and possess strong communication and organizational skills. The job will include evening and weekend assignments.
