Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • TICKET OFFICE OPERATIONS:
  1. Manages all facets of ticket operations for all sports.
  2. Will be responsible for accurately preparing all accounting documents and financial reports for the Athletic Business Office and other concerned departments. Is responsible for creating and distributing reports on ticket revenue to appropriate department administrators.
  3. Coordinates pricing decisions with appropriate administrative staff.
  4. Ensures communication relative to all ticket information is clearly communicated and promoted to customers.
  5. Oversees ticketing operations for all ticketed sports home games.
  6. Ensures areas are properly staffed and empowered with the necessary information for quality customer service.
  7. Will be responsible for approving all ticket office student employees time in Workday.
  8. Will assist in responding to all incoming correspondence in relations to ticketing matters.
  9. Will be the point of contact for all matters involving group ticket sales.
  10. Will be responsible overall for resolving all customer disputes.
  • TICKET SALES AND PROMOTION:
  1. Responsible for working with Marketing department to create ticket promotions to increase game day and season ticket sales.
  2. Responsible for creating initiatives to drive ticket sales in all sports.
  3. Enter schedules into the University Ticket System with correct prices.
  4. Will assist in dispensing of tickets to the counter customers and collecting payments made by cash, check or credit card as needed.
  5. Will be responsible for distributing tickets to other PV campuses and outside venues for select sports contests.
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE:
  1. Will assist in providing quality customer assistance and service to all visiting patrons on game days.
  2. Refers or assists customers appropriately.
  3. Addresses customer questions relative to: charge computer orders, seating and parking locations, ticket purchases, etc.
  4. Solves programmatic and procedural problems.
  5. Maintains substantial knowledge of Athletic and university rules and regulations.
  6. Will provide oversight and solutions to programmatic and procedural problems.
  • EVENT MANAGEMENT:
  1. Responsible for working with the Athletic Facility Manager and Assistant Vice President, Athletic Operations for execution of all game day, ticket promotions, and special events.
  2. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field.
  • Five years of related experience in a box office environment, including ticket sales, general office, accounting, budgeting, personnel, marketing, and supervision.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Masters degree in an applicable field.

  • Five years experience in a college athletics ticket office.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of cash handling and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to work in a high stress environment.
