Job Summary

• This position is responsible for the duties normally associated with a Division I head coach including: prospect evaluation, recruiting, training, coaching, student-athlete academic achievement, student-athlete conduct and welfare, compliance with the NCAA, conference & institutional rules, budgetary control, scheduling assistance, promotions, public relations, development activities and the overall effective performance of the student-athletes and coaching staff.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student-athletes to include counseling team members in academic, disciplinary, sportsmanship, and personal matters as appropriate. Operate a program that is fiscally responsible and balance its budget.
• Develop a competitively successful team that represents IUPUI positively and responsibly, and which provides student-athletes the opportunity for a positive experience and climate in which to achieve their academic, athletic, and personal goals. 
• Perform recruiting duties, including, but not limited to: formulate a plan to incorporate coverage of all prospective student-athletes on a national level and recruit high-quality student-athletes that meet or exceed university qualifications.
• Active engagement with former student-athletes, community members, and athletics staff to develop a comprehensive engagement, marketing, and fundraising plan. 

Required Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by University.
• Must maintain certifications in CPR, first aid, and AED.
