Job Summary

Job Overview

• Implement, coordinate and maintain athletic programs for students in grades 1-8.
• Direct, develop, and enhance the school’s current Athletics Program.
• This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to take a program to the next level by increasing programming options to attract more student involvement.
• Work within the Elementary and Middle School programs, and will report to the Director of Elementary and Middle School Programs.

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Supporting PE for the Lower and Upper Elementary programs
• Overseeing the Middle School Physact program, which involves planning, booking, and leading the weekly Physact outing.
• Coaching the athletics teams each season (soccer in the fall, basketball in the winter, and cross-country in the spring), as well as the two athletics-based clubs (ultimate frisbee in the fall, flag football in the spring).
• Support auxilliary program, Passport, in coordinating and leading before and after-school athletic programs.
• Representing the school in the Big MAC (Montessori Athletic Conference), which entails attending league meetings and coordinating games and events such as the Big MAC Field Day with other league athletics personnel.
• Driving the 14-passenger van to and from athletics events as team transportation.
• Assisting with the set-up and running of the ski school program, which takes place at Nashoba Valley the first four Fridays in January.
• Assisting with the set-up and running of the annual 5K, which takes place in May.

 Additional Information

• This full-time position is for the 2019-2020 school year.
• Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience. 3-5 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
