Asst Athletic Director for Compliance

Job Summary

Basic Function:

Perform all the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Office

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assists in development of all compliance-related policies and procedures.


2. Attends national compliance meetings as university representative.


3. Updates/maintains Jump Forward.


4. Updates/maintains compliance website.


5. Coordinates compliance education process (coaches meetings, student-athlete compliance meetings, etc.).


6. Coordinates NCAA/conference rules interpretation process.


7. Coordinates all NCAA/conference waivers.


8. Work with Office of Academic Support on textbook distribution/collection process.


9. Assists with Excellence at 7220 employee and student-athlete program.


10. Oversees Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).


11. Maintains thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.


12. Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Exceptional writing skills **Submit writing sample with application material


• At least one year of NCAA Compliance related experience (either as a student athlete, graduate assistant, or employee)

Desired Qualifications:

• J.D or masters in a related field


• Strong attention to detail


• Ability to multi-task


• Ability to work under time sensitive deadlines


• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations


• Knowledge of or ability to learn  about the University
