Job Summary
Core Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborates and works proactively with business leaders to identify solutions to key issues in collaboration with the HR Manager and HR Director
- Orientation, training and information sessions on a wide array of HR-related subjects
- Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and HR Director on a variety of HR related duties.
- Leverage and interpret relevant management information to assist managers to make sound decisions and implement appropriate HR-related solutions.
- Coordinating/supporting the recruitment process for selected positions both full-time and casual; including booking interviews, selection, employment contracts, pre-employment requirements, follow-ups and reporting
- Supporting in completion of job application materials and documents, including preparation of employment interviews and test
- Providing onboarding assistance for new hires, transfers and promotions
- Providing support in conducting research into classification, reclassification, and criteria research for all current and new positions
- Providing support in preparing and tracking performance appraisals of employees
- Supporting day to day human resources administration and payroll requests.
- Organizing and supervising the maintenance of department records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Researching best practices in all HR areas, providing information and reports on findings as directed
- Coordinating existing professional development programs including researching opportunities and helping Sr. Leaders identify areas for their direct reports
- Providing administrative support in all human resources areas to the Human Resources team as assigned
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends, laws and best practices to ensure alignment of business objectives to the HR strategy
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related fields from an accredited institution
- CPHR Designation or currently in the process of obtaining CPHR designation will be considered an asset
- 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources
- Experience in sports and entertainment, property or real estate is considered an asset
- Ability to work alone on a broad variety of projects.
- Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.
- Strong level of influence and negotiation skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
- Experience in all Human Resources functional areas will be considered as asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to motivate and empower others to reach organizational goals.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
