Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

Campaign Development (30%)

1.Collaborate with national governing bodies to secure logos, schedules, performance information, athlete quotes, and other details to incorporate into the campaign digital toolkit. 

2. Work with Associate Director to approve collegiate registration for the campaign, confirm terms of use per stakeholder, and establish the cross-branding mock-up per registrant.

3.Develop campaign-related materials, including written web stories, marketing materials, physical toolkits, etc. and assist with requests for alternative uses of the campaign theme.

4.Assist with facilitating campaign-related support for collegiate stakeholders (NCAA, conferences, schools and coaches’ associations) and facilitate communications-related questions from sports information directors and conference liaisons.

5. Schedule and participate in collegiate communications meetings, including setting agendas, preparing presentation decks and writing recaps.  

Campaign Execution (70%)

6.Aid in project managing six stages of the 2019-20 Olympians Made Here campaign (launch, historical celebration, hopefuls celebration, trials, Games coverage and post-games recognition); proactively reach out to schools and assist with project planning.

7. Track collegiate participation throughout the campaign, including digital engagement, in-venue recognition events, etc.                      

8.Serve as information conduit to schools and conferences regarding national team student-athlete performances in the leadup to Tokyo.

9. Work with collegiate partnerships specialist and digital media team to coordinate content for TeamUSA.org.

10.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Experience

  • Minimum of two to three years of experience in communications, preferably with campaign development and execution
  • Knowledge of the Olympic Movement and collegiate athletics system

Skills

  • Interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Highly developed sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with an acute attention to detail

Tools, Equipment, & Conditions

  • Standard office equipment
  • Office environment on multi-building site
  • Non-traditional work hours and schedule as required
  • Prolonged sitting and use of hands/wrists
  • Some travel
  • Some extended hours
  • Regular attendance at work is an essential job function
