Job Summary

 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage complete lifecycle for all employees including onboarding, payroll, benefits, and offboarding. 

  • Posts job openings and may assist with screening applicants

  • Complete onboarding process for all employees including execution of offer letters, completing background checks, entering employee data into Trinet, and conducting I-9 verifications

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all staff and work with Accounting to provide payroll reports

  • Maintain all employment and payroll records 

  • Advise management staff on all personnel matters and recommend appropriate course of action

  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment

  • Coach and train managers in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them

  • Develop training materials for managers within the organization

  • Develop and administer human resource policies, procedures and personnel development programs, including Employee Handbook

  • Assure the organization is compliant with all applicable state and federal laws, rules and policies

  • Communicate human resource policies, procedures, and programs with efficiency

  • Work on special projects

  • Other duties as assigned

 
Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR programs

  • Knowledge and experience in employment law, state and federal labor laws, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, and employee development

  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality

  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.

  • Strong teamwork and relationship management skills; works effectively with all personalities

  • Proactive problem-solving orientation

  • Ability to be flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Detail oriented and organized

  • Effective time management and prioritization skills

 
Education and Experience:

  • Experience working with Trinet preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource management or equivalent experience required 

  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive human resource management experience preferred
