Associate Athletic Trainer

Job Summary

DUTIES:

10%   
Assists with the coordination of all physical examinations, medical insurance and other medical administrative forms and processes

5%   
Assists with the administrative responsibilities of budgeting, ordering and inventory control of athletic training rooms

Develops and implements risk management policies and procedures. Engages in the development of graduate assistant athletic trainers. Oversees special events and summer camp training responsibilities as designated by the Director of Sports Medicine

Compiles relevant statistical information. Contributes to the maintenance of good working relationships with all members of the department. Accountable for ensuring that affirmative action, equal opportunity, and diversity are integrally tied to all actions and decisions in areas of responsibility.

Oversees the primary care coverage for varsity teams as designated by the Director of Sports Medicine by providing emergency care, injury evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of all varsity athletic injuries

EDUCATION and REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Experience Required: 1-2 years of experience

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's

Minimum Licenses Required: BOC Certified in good standing and eligible for Athletics Training Licensure in the state of Louisiana. Valid drivers license. Certified in CPR

Other Minimum Requirements: Must be available to work nights and weekends. May occasionally be required to lift objects.

Preferred Education: Master's
