Assistant Director for Facilities and Events, NCAA

Job Summary

 Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversight and management of campus facilities and off-campus venues; Oversight and management of athletic events, including special events and game management
• Oversight and management of student-employees for the Department of Athletics.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Demonstrate an understanding of the core values of the University and the ability to translate those values into success for the Athletics Department.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred for this position.
• 2 years of experience with facilities supervision and event management is preferred as well as experience supervising others and managing ticket sales.
• Excellent customer service, supervisory skills, facilities management (including maintenance), and regular reliable attendance including evenings, weekends and holidays is essential.
• Ability to effectively work with other departments and teams to ensure overall positive outcomes for the department is required.
• Knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA rules is essential.
• Sound problem solving and conflict resolution abilities are expected as well as keen understanding of professional distance needed between staff members and athletes.
• Willingness to support the Department of Athletics by attending department/institutional events and serving in various roles throughout the year are required.
