Accounting Internship

Job Summary

• For the duration of this internship, interns will be responsible for assisting our accounting staff with multiple tasks.
• These tasks include general office administration duties, journal entries, counting and keeping track of cash and checks, and assisting in the accounting of our minor league team, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, our skating facilities, IceWorks and Northwell Health Ice Center, our charity, the Islanders Children’s Foundation, as well as our arena operating company, Harbor Yard Sports & Entertainment.
• Interns may also have to attend NHL Team events, as well as the Islanders Children’s Foundation events, such as our annual Golf Outing.

• Interns must possess strong organizational and communication (both oral and written) skills.
• Interns must be proficient in Microsoft Office and internet navigation.
• Interns also must have the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative, in addition to being able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
• A professional attitude will be expected.
