Job Summary

Essential Functions

1. Partner with sponsorship company contacts to develop and deliver effective and measurable sponsorship platforms, by managing expectations, communicating timelines, and ensuring contract fulfillment.
2. Use variety of methods and resources to creatively engage with, and enhance partner relationships, using industry knowledge and brand awareness to overcome challenges, create business opportunities, and exceed company objectives.
3. Manage tracking and reporting ROI and ROO of marketing partnership initiatives.
4. Collaborate with sales team on the development of new sales opportunities.
5. Serve as day-to-day liaison to all tournament sponsors.
6. Racking of all tournament sponsorship deliverables and working with printers, sign vendor, caterer, operations and other vendors to ensure all deliverables are implemented.
7. Presents ideas and opportunities to help grow tournament partnerships by keeping current with goals, objectives and the competitive corporate landscape in the market.
8. Liaise with other teams on sponsored programs which include, but are not limited to sales, marketing, Pioneer program, community relations, ticketing, finance, operations, and volunteers.
9. Contributes to any efforts, thoughts or actions used to boost overall revenue for the organization.
10. Facilitation of sponsorship contracts and inventory tracking manually.
11. Weekly reporting to tournament teams and monthly to PGA TOUR on sales to-date.
12. Works with Finance to ensure timely invoicing and collections.
13. Production of post-tournament recap reports, sponsorship gifts, and pro-am and sponsorship surveys.
14. Other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other:
1. Computer skills required: experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) is required.
2. Demonstrated ability to be strategic, creative and solution-oriented.
3.  Ability to establish effective client and interdepartmental relationships, manage multiple client contacts and projects, and drive business.
  1. Strong project management skills focused on organization, time management and planning.

  2. Ability to work collaboratively with a group of highly motivated individuals, and also be an independent thinker.

  3. Exceptional verbal and written communication/presentation skills

  4. Confident, pro-active, creative, and collaborative style that assimilates well within a team

  5. Interpersonal skills which are conducive to providing customer service to sponsors and supporting tournament staff

  6. Responsible and dependable with strong organizational skills

  7. Ability to gain and enhance the respect and trust of superiors, peers, subordinates, and sponsors

  8. Will be ethical and have an unquestioned level of personal and professional integrity

  9. Be results and bottom-line oriented yet sensitive towards people and values

  10. Ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding interpersonal relationships

  11. Strong sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence

  12. Thorough understanding of the ‘world of sports business’ including a passion for the game of golf

  13. Understanding and proficiency with marketing data analytics programs.

  14. Some administrative duties will be required

  15. Willingness to work nights/weekends as required, especially in the immediate months prior to tournament

 

Experience:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional work experience with a consumer brand, agency, sports property or venue required.
  • Sales and corporate marketing experience preferred


Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, advertising, or sports management (or similar field) from four-year college or university required.
