Job Summary
Responsibilities/Functions:
- Recruit, hire, train and develop sales staff personnel and manage day-to-day Personal Seat Licenses (PSLs) and season ticket sales, suite sales and group sales operations
- Prepare and implement sales business plans presenting staffing, marketing and sales data to meet organizational goals, and implement those plans to achieve results and goals
- Create and implement new sales strategies for PSLs, suites and group sales
- Oversee game day and event day responsibilities, including establishing relationships with partners and clients, and provide leadership to staff
- Regularly evaluate progress against sales results and goals, effective use of materials, energy, capital, and assets daily, weekly and monthly to determine productivity and address issues as needed
- Compile senior level management reports of all current sales and trends
- Be accountable for defined revenue goals
- Develop procedures for sales training as well as the selling process
- Lead sales staff meetings and training sessions to improve productivity of staff
- Coordinate sales efforts with service and ticket operations department
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients
- Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with the highest degree of performance and professionalism
Required Qualifications:
- Proven leader with 10+ years of experience in professional sports sales with an emphasis on creating new revenue generation programs specifically in PSL, Group and Luxury Suite sales
- A minimum of 8+ years of experience in a management role
- A four-year college degree or commensurate work experience in Business, Sales, or Marketing, or other related field. Advanced degree is preferred but not required
- Must be self-motivated, high energy leader
- Strong business and negotiation skills to implement goals in an effective manner
- Develop and constantly grow a database comprised of corporate and individual prospects through various prospecting and networking efforts throughout the community; create and execute prospect events and gatherings
- Candidate should possess excellent time management, communication and organizational skills in order to effectively manage staff and collaborate with other departments
- Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, strong work ethics, as well as the competitive desire and the ability to thrive in a stressful and deadline driven environment
- The ability and desire to work long and flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Required to work all home games and some away games.
