Job Summary

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:

  • Responsible for generating season ticket revenue through the development and implementation of strategic ticketing programs, promotions and sales strategies
  • Responsible for generating ticket revenue through the sale of season tickets, partial ticket plans, and group tickets
  • Creates and develops new business opportunities by regularly engaging new ticket prospects through in-arena tours, external appointments, phone prospecting, and other strategies
  • In conjunction with the athletics marketing office, plans and coordinates group events (i.e., pre-game experiences, half-time performances, etc.)
  • Manages personal ticket accounts
  • Builds strong relationships with assigned season ticket-holder base through strategic communication, including seat visits, phone calls, electronic correspondence, and other communication channels
  • Works closely with Ticket Operations, Marketing, Communications, Game Operations, and Sponsorship team to execute season ticket retention programs
  • Assists with game day or special event sales initiatives
  • Attends outside events with the purpose of selling ticket packages
  • Maintains accurate records of all prospecting activities regarding season tickets, groups and hospitality packages
  • Achieves established sales goals and revenue targets
  • Assists with other ticket sales-related duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • This is a full-time position with university benefits.
  • The Account Executive will be paid a base salary in addition to an established sales commission on revenue generated.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum one year of experience in ticket sales, marketing, or similar field
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter, organizational skills and great attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public in a professional manner
  • Ability to remain focused on sales goals and work independently
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends and holidays

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with inside sales/telemarketing, appointment scheduling or cold-calling techniques is preferred.
