Mascot Coordinator

Job Summary

• looking for a unique individual to assume the role of the Mascot
• The successful candidate should have one or more of the following attributes:


• Lettered in a high school sport


• Have dance, gymnastic or acting experience, and/or training.


• Have costume performance experience

• Perform at all games


• Develop, rehearse, and perform in-game skits that contribute to the entertainment value of games


• Assist in training and coaching the promotions team, the Crew to ensure proper execution of promotions and skits


• Be available for autographs, suite visits, and in-seat visits during games

• Attend required community appearances as Dinger to ensure positive brand engagement


• Research and contact beneficial community partners and events


• Maintain accurate schedule in order to maximize number of outside appearances

• Maintain Dinger’s costumes to ensure cleanliness and good working order


• Design and purchase specialty costumes within budget


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage room and company van

• Contribute to organizational culture of excellence


• Recruit, train, and schedule back-up mascots

• Must be available to work flexible hours including all home games, some nights, and some weekends. 


• Must be able to work in a costume and endure hot and humid conditions, and communicate nonverbally


• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office


• Must have a great sense of humor and love working with people


• Must have reliable transportation as well as a valid driver’s license.

• On-the-job training offered.

• Prolonged periods standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and pulling.  


• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. 


• Must be able to work outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions.
