Job Summary


Position Description

  • The Assistant Director of Facilities, Operations and Event Management is responsible for coordinating and managing activities, capital improvements, maintenance and athletic events for all athletic facilities, including the Field.
  • The incumbent generates and manages facility and venue budgets including expenditure management and procedures for Blair Field and all athletics facilities and events.
  • Analyze and develops vendor relationships and provide fiscal review for all vendor proposals and selection through procurement process.
  • Plans and directs all tournaments and post-season championships as outlined by the Conference


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge and experience with events and/or facility operations. Previous supervisory experience.
  • Knowledgeable in EMS or equivalent software.
  • Ability to develop, analyze, and implement policies and procedures related to facilities operations.
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved under the direction of the General Manager.
  • Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide work direction.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. 
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and must be multi-task oriented.
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. 
  • Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."


Education and Experience

  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience required.
