Athletics Liaison and Admissions Counselor

Seeking an Athletics Liaison and Admissions Counselor to assist recruits through the admissions process from prospect/inquiry stage to enrollment. This position works closely with the Athletic Director and Coaching Staff to ensure success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively communicate the mission of University to prospective students, high school counselors, and the community.


• Represent high schools, college fairs, community events, churches, and other outreach initiatives.


• Exercise independent judgment and effectively develop a recruitment plan to enroll a specified number of students from a defined geographic territory.


• Plan and coordinate special projects that are a part of the overall strategic plan.


• Engage in follow-up activities to move prospects through the enrollment funnel: implement various mailings, send text messages and reminders, push deadlines, encourage apps and campus visits, etc.


• Meet one-on-one and provide campus tours for prospective students and their families.


• Utilize CRM (Slate) to help cultivate prospective students.


• Provide prospective students and their families with basic financial aid information.


• Communicate effectively with coaching staff and Athletic Director throughout the recruitment cycle; meet one-on-one often to determine needs and provide updates.


• Provide ongoing training to coaching staff to use the CRM system.


• Attend various athletic events.


• Assist in the coordination of admissions recruitment events such as visit days, registration days, and other special programs. Represent the university at all on-campus recruitment events.


• Attend appropriate professional meetings related to assigned duties.


• Perform other duties appropriate to Admissions Office operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.


• Background in athletics preferred.


• Some sales experience preferred.
