Job Summary

Summary
Responsible for the overall building maintenance, grounds maintenance, parking garage maintenance, snow removal, cleanliness and safety of the Arena. 
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Plans and participates in building renovations and minor repairs. 

  • Performs needed troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and projects as assigned.  

  • Inspect building for damages, needed repairs, and project work. 

  • Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment and related systems.  

  • Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Supervises work flow of staff.

  • Manages projects, repairs, and work orders.  Works with other departments on event and building needs. 

  • Provides checks and balances to contractor work.  

  • Makes recommendations on repairs and services.  

  • Responds to emergency requests as required.  

  • Maintains preventive maintenance and repair records and maintains time logs of all work. 

Supervisory Responsibilities 
Manages maintenance, technicians and painters, and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience 
Associates degree in facility management or related field; or 2-5 years of related experience  and/or training in building maintenance repair operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Forklift certification required. 
 

Computer Skills 
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge in Microsoft Office software.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
