Operations Intern

Job Summary

• Each Intern will rotate within each department, consisting of Ticketing, Merchandise, Guest Relations, Press Box, On-Field Entertainment, and Community Relations.


• In addition to game day duties, each intern will be responsible for helping prepare and maintain the ballpark prior to the start of the season and during the season to ensure facilities are presentable at all times.


• Interns will be expected to work on non-game days, in addition to game days, in order to ensure they receive a well-rounded experience of the organization's operation.

• Current enrollment in an accredited program at a College or University with a degree emphasis in Sport Management, Event Management, Business, and/or Hospitality and Tourism is preferred.


• Intern must display professionalism – businesslike attitude, attire, cheerful disposition, teamwork, and candor/honesty/discretion/trust/judgment.


• Communication skills – strong oral and written communication skills, ability to be open and speak well.


• Dependability – available for early morning/late evening/weekend work - commitment to working nights/weekends.

• The internship runs from the present date to August 15th, 2020. However, we can be flexible on dates to work with your school calendar..


• All interns will receive a taxable, $100 per month stipend, plus the opportunity to earn additional income based on participation in community events and sales outreach.


• All interns are encouraged to receive college credit for the Aviators internship OR be directly supervised by a professor or advisor from their accredited academic degree program at a University, College or Vocational institution during the time of their Aviators Internship.


• All interns will receive best practices material and will participate in regular reflective/learning discussions regarding sports management and team operations. Discussions will go over best practices material, learning experiences, improvements, and additional educated discussions about the operation.
